When do you take the step towards psychotherapy?

 

Every question is embedded in a highly personal (life) story. People therefore contact me for a wide variety of reasons.

 

 

You may face questions or difficulties in various areas:

difficulties at work or with your studies, insecurity, listlessness, low self-confidence, doubt, worrying, identity issues, things from the past that troubles you in everyday life, difficulties with eating, emotional difficulties, difficulties in your relationships, sexual difficulties, conflicts, a feeling of not really knowing who you are as a parent or partner, a general feeling of discomfort,…

 

 

You may experience certain specific symptoms:

depression, mood swings, anxieties or anxiety disorders, panic attacks, obsessive thoughts or compulsive behaviors, nightmares, sleep problems, concentration problems, self-harm, eating disorders (bulimia or anorexia), trauma, low self-esteem, physical complaints without a clear cause,…

If these difficulties become so overwhelming that you can no longer manage, you can take the step towards psychotherapy.
